View and control DXF layers online

See every layer in a DXF and toggle what's visible. Show, hide or isolate any layer, and read the entity count and total length on each — all in your browser.

Messy DXFs often pile everything onto a handful of layers, or scatter geometry across dozens. DXFTools lists every layer — both the ones declared in the layer table and any inferred from the geometry — with its colour, entity count and total length so you can see at a glance where the drawing's content actually lives.

Click to show or hide a layer, or isolate one to focus on it alone. It's the quickest way to separate cut lines from construction lines, dimensions or annotations before exporting or quoting.

Everything is computed locally in your browser. The file is never uploaded, and you don't need AutoCAD or any CAD licence to work with the layers.

What you get

  • Lists every layer with colour, entity count and total length
  • Show, hide or isolate any layer in one click
  • Finds layers from both the layer table and the geometry
  • Length reported in the drawing's own units
  • Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded

Frequently asked questions

Can I isolate a single layer?
Yes. Isolating a layer hides all the others so you can focus on just that geometry, then restore the rest in one click.
Does it show how much is on each layer?
Yes. Each layer shows its entity count and the total length of its geometry in the drawing's units.
Do I need AutoCAD or any paid software?
No. Everything runs in a normal web browser. There is no install, no licence and no account required.
Do you upload or store my DXF file?
No. The file is read and processed entirely in your browser using your device's own resources. It is never sent to a server or stored anywhere.
